A Public Information Officer (PIO) is a crucial yet often underutilized role within Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs). This session will provide participants with the knowledge, data, and key talking points needed to advocate for the establishment of a PIO role in their own centers. Learn how a PIO strengthens internal communications, supports staff well-being, and builds public trust through clear, consistent communications within and outside of the ECC.
