911 Coordinator / Training Officer Warren County Communications Center Washington, New Jersey
During this course, we look at what we do day in and day out. The impacts we have on people’s lives, whether through emergency calls or non-emergency calls. How having a true appreciation for our job creates a positive attitude, which then creates a more confident, more compassionate call-taker. We also discuss the Do’s and Don’ts of call taking and take the time to think about what really could be happening on the other end of the phone. Those call takers ultimately create a better experience with our callers and those are Positive Ripples.
Learning Objectives:
The students will have a better understanding of the impact we can have on the callers, good and bad.
The students will have a better understanding of the Do' & Don't's of call taking to create a more positive approach to call taking, and to take back to their center for others to enjoy.
The students will have an opportunity to see just how many positive ripples they have created or will continue to create through their positive call taking and empathy.
