Broadening beyond emergency dispatch, this group includes individuals who handle communication for fire departments, EMS, and other public safety agencies.
Learning Objectives:
The learner will be able to recognizing key signs of human trafficking during emergency and non-emergency calls.
The learner will beable to describe important role fire and EMS personnel play in identifying trafficking situations and how dispatchers can support them by gathering relevant information and flagging potential trafficking cases during calls.
The learner will beable to to understand and describe the importance of compassionate and using victim-centered approach,and understand the trauma victims of human trafficking may experience and how to respond sensitively.
