Jessica Daza is the Communications Operations Manager for the Fairfax County Department of Public Safety Communications, where she has over two decades of experience in emergency communications and public service leadership. Throughout her 20-year career, she has earned multiple certifications as a call taker, police dispatcher, teletype operator, and numerous state and industry-level credentials.
Jessica is a recognized leader in equity and inclusion, serving as her agency’s Equity Co-Lead and representing Fairfax County in multiple regional and national initiatives. Her professional impact includes contributing to the development of the county’s Co-Responder Team and mentoring future public safety professionals through school academy partnerships.
She is a recipient of the Fairfax County Outstanding Performance and Team Excellence Award and a graduate of leadership programs such as the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments' “Public Safety Leadership: The West Point Way,” the Government Alliance on Race and Equity COHORT, and the Middle Managers Roundtable.
Jessica is a passionate advocate for collaborative leadership, equitable practices, and operational excellence in public safety — and brings both vision and lived experience to every stage she steps onto.
