Crystal Lawrence joined the APCO Communications Center and 9-1-1 Services (CC9S) staff in 2011 and is currently the Director of ECC Engagement. In this capacity, Crystal supports various APCO initiatives designed to assist ECCs, including the APCO Project RETAINS Staffing Toolkit, and NG9-1-1 Training. She began her public safety journey in 1996 and before joining APCO worked in two Emergency Communications Centers in Wake County, North Carolina, holding positions from Telecommunicator to Director. Crystal holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Wesleyan College.
