Christopher J. Laymon, ENP

Chris Laymon, ENP, is a Radio System Specialist with the McKinney Police Department. He is a military veteran with multiple professional certifications, including TCOLE Master Telecommunicator, NENA Emergency Number Professional (ENP), IAED Advanced Emergency Medical Dispatcher, TCOLE Instructor, and tactical dispatcher.

Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology & Cybersecurity from Southern New Hampshire University in 2019, and he is pursuing a Master of Public Administration specializing in Homeland Security at Texas A&M University.

Throughout his career, Chris has gained extensive experience working at Brazos County 911, the Allen Police Department, and the McKinney Police Department. His previous roles included telecommunications officer, lead communications technician, and communications training officer.

Chris was the on-duty supervisor during the active shooter incident at Allen Premium Outlets in May 2023. During this tragic event, he led a team of four personnel who effectively managed emergency communications from their small dispatch center.
