Drew Moldenhauer is the Owner and Master Instructor of Blue Ethos Specialized Training (BEST), an organization dedicated to delivering advanced training in Situational Awareness. With a proven track record of training dispatch centers, police departments, manufacturing corporations, healthcare institutions, and professional associations, Drew is a highly sought-after speaker who has presented at numerous conferences across various industries. He recently received a grant to present his program "Situational Awareness for Communication Professionals" to PSAPs throughout the State of Minnesota.
With 17 years of law enforcement experience, Drew has served with two police departments in Minnesota, where he has held critical roles including Active Shooter Instructor, Use of Force Instructor, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Instructor, and Field Training Officer. He is currently serving as a police officer with the City of Osseo Police Department.
Drew holds a Master’s Degree in Public Safety Executive Leadership from St. Cloud State University and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Hamline University, Concordia University St. Paul, Metropolitan State University, Normandale Community College, and Hennepin Technical College. His academic contributions span a variety of public safety courses, and he plays an active role in police academy training.
Drew recently co-authored the book How Smart Police Officers Use Situational Awareness to Improve Safety with Dr. Richard Gasaway, and his articles have been featured on prominent platforms such as Police1 and Officer.com.
