Matt Gruenwald, RPL

Public Safety Telecommunicator
Southeast Emergency Communications (SEECOM)
Crystal Lake, Illinois

With over 25 years of experience in 9-1-1 communications, Matt Gruenwald is a dedicated leader in public safety communications. He currently serves as an Acting Communications Supervisor on the midnight shift at Southeast Emergency Communications (SEECOM) in Crystal Lake, IL, with a service population of approximately 200,000 residents.

Beyond his operational role, Matt has been an active voice in the industry. He previously served as a Director on the Executive Board of the Illinois Chapter and now contributes at the international level as a member of the Bylaws Committee. His commitment to advancing public safety communications is reflected in his completion of the APCO Registered Public-Safety Leader program in 2024.

A passionate advocate for training, leadership development, and operational excellence, Matt brings a wealth of experience to this conference.
