Assistant ECC Manager
Loudoun County Fire and Rescue
Leesburg, Virginia
I am deeply passionate about public safety.
My journey began as a high school volunteer at my local police department, which quickly led to a full-time role. In 2002, I joined my local fire department as a volunteer and have since served as a Firefighter/EMT and ascended through the ranks to Assistant Chief.
In 2004, my career in Emergency Communications began as a Dispatcher with Loudoun County Fire and Rescue. Recognizing my calling in emergency communications, I worked hard to advance and become a supervisor. In 2013, I accepted a position as the Deputy Director of Communications in Jefferson County, WV, where I worked until I returned to Loudoun County in 2018 as the Assistant ECC Manager.
I obtained my APCO Certified Public-Safety Executive designation in 2020 and my Registered Public-Safety Leader designation in 2023. I'm an APCO Instructor for PST1, FSC, CTO, and CCS, and hold certification as an EMD-Q and EFD-Q through Priority Dispatch.
At the State level, I am a member of the VA APCO Conference Committee and the VA APCO Training Committee. At the National level, I currently serve on the APCO Awards Committee, APCO Professional Development Events Committee, and I'm a member of the Core Competencies and Minimum Training Standards for ECC Supervisors Standard Development Working Group.
