I’m a Communications Officer, CTO, BSL Instructor, and I’m an autism mom. Working as a communications officer while raising 2 vulnerable children gives me a unique perspective regarding public safety incidents that involve persons that have been touched by autism. Throughout my 11-year career in public safety, I have used my real-world knowledge to educate my peers about autism and the challenges it can bring for our responders who are out in the community.
