1 in 54 children in the US have an autism diagnosis. This statistic is staggering, and as a telecommunicator you’ve probably already encountered a call for service involving a missing child with ASD. In this session attendees will learn about autism, its characteristics/how it presents, and how it can present additional safety concerns for first responders when a person with autism wanders away from safety.
