TransUnion’s Public Sector Market
Scott Straub is the Senior Director of TransUnion’s Public Sector Market Planning team. In this role, he focuses on delivering industry-leading information services products to the public sector, with the goal of improving the lives of individuals interacting with government agencies. With over 15 years of experience both inside and outside of government, Scott has led the design and implementation of large-scale programs that help agencies operate more effectively and efficiently in fulfilling their missions.
Before joining TransUnion, Scott led Neustar’s Public Sector Business, where he built the division from the ground up. Prior to that, he served as Director of Federal Market Strategy at LexisNexis Risk Solutions, where he invented several identity-based products and holds patents for technologies that have prevented over $1 billion in government identity fraud. Earlier in his career, Scott worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service (BFS), where he developed strategic plans for multiple business units and established an Analytics Division to implement industry best practices in the collection of delinquent federal debt.
Scott holds a master’s degree in finance and a graduate certificate in investments from the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bloomsburg University.
