I serve as a Senior Telecommunicator/Communications Training Officer at the Danville Fire Department, bringing with me over 30 years of diverse experience from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. Throughout my career, I have held various roles such as Correctional Officer, Case Manager, Hostage Negotiator, and PREA Investigator. My background also encompasses firefighting and emergency medical services, including volunteer firefighting and professional work as an EMT and ER tech. Beyond my emergency services expertise, I am deeply committed to public education and outreach, and have had the privilege of presenting at numerous conferences covering topics such as 911 communications, gang prevention, and social media management. Additionally, I actively contribute as a member of the VA APCO Training Committee, NENA Recruitment and Retention Committee, and the VA NENA Legislative Committee.
