Wendy works in suicide prevention, owns her own business and teaches adjunct for Germanna Community College in their criminal justice department. Prior to that she was a 911 dispatcher for almost 7 years across 3 different agencies. She is also a dispatcher/public safety spouse of over 15 years. Wendy is trained in peer recovery/support as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and is a state trainer in Virginia for that class. She holds many certifications related to public safety and health and wellness including Mental Health First Aid, Certified Personal Medicine Coaching (CPMC), Critical Incident Stress Management (CCISM) and is a member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP).
