Kim Rigden has worked in emergency services for 34+ years as a paramedic and emergency dispatcher, trainer, quality assurance specialist, supervisor, and manager for BCEHS and a commander for Toronto Paramedic Services. Kim spearheaded global operations for over 340 Accredited Centers of Excellence (ACE) in police, fire, EMS and emergency nursing across fifteen countries. Kim has an honors degree in psychology and her deep commitment to improving 9-1-1 Telecommunicator’s well-being has inspired her to continue her learning journey. She is currently in her final year Master of Science degree in Applied Positive Psychology. Her research is specific to strengths, resilience, psychological safety and workplace well-being.
